Careers

Nothing is worse than wasted potential.

We are senior engineers who care about the craft, working remotely with clients in the US and abroad. If you want a long-term home for your work, read on.

How we work

Culture is not a poster on the wall.

CraftTek was founded on the principles of honesty, respect, discipline, pride and innovation. We are not a one-night stand and are more interested in long-term relationships. We are proud to say that we do our best work, on a daily basis, for our clients.

All of our employees work remotely, with the option to come into our office in Tampa for collaboration. We are different than most design and development shops. At CraftTek we take our culture very seriously and all of our team members have a passion for development. If you are looking for a 9-5 job, this is not the company for you.

Our clients are in the US and abroad, so the work spans time zones and industries — finance and trading firms, mid-size companies automating what they outgrew, and startups building a first system. You will not spend a year on the same screen.

What we look for

Not a checklist of skills.

Problem solvers

People who have the creativity and perseverance to work through complex problems, not just the ones with easy answers.

Owners, not ticket-takers

Engineers who own outcomes, not tickets. You see a problem through to done, not just to "closed."

Continuous learners

People who stay current with the latest technologies because they are curious, not because someone told them to.

People in it for the long run

We want long-term relationships, not quick jobs. If that is what you want too, we should talk.

How it works

No open roles page.

We hire when we meet someone worth hiring, not on a quarterly plan. Send us something real — code you are proud of, a problem you solved, or just what you are working on. A conversation with the founders follows, then a look at how you actually work.

Getting in touch

We believe that there is nothing worse than wasted potential and we do not foster an environment to become stale. If you are a dedicated and passionate technologist and are interested in hearing more, get in touch.
